Bazian Combined Cycle Power Plant RMS Project

• Implementation of the PRMS Station Automation Project located in BAZIAN on the ABB Freelance Platform.
• Provision of natural gas supply to the gas turbines to be installed for the 40 MW capacity increase at the facility.
• Design and supply of the electrical panel / MCC (Motor Control Center).
• System operation and control with necessary equipment, including SCADA software.
• Definition of the necessary interface within the PLC package and central control system (DCS).

The automation application developed with the ABB Freelance Platform and supporting the S800 IO family. Communication is facilitated through OPC and Modbus communication protocols with third-party systems.

Terminal blocks in the PLC cabinet are used for wired signals to the DCS. Communication and connection between the PLC and DCS are provided through fiber optic patch panels with connector type FC. The communication protocol between the patch panel and the PLC for flow computers is Modbus TCP-IP.

Flow meters with RS-232/485 MODBUS RTU communication ports are used for diagnostic measurements and have been integrated into the flow computer. Communication from the PLC to the DCS is established using the MODBUS TCP-IP protocol.

A PLC and HMI are used for control and monitoring of the facility equipment. The system ensures operation, adjustment, automation, measurement, and monitoring commands to control the equipment, enabling operation to be automatic, semi-automatic, or fully manual as needed.
