What solutions does GEST provide for iron and steel plants?
We provide solutions for electrification, power automation, process control, and motor applications in iron and steel plants. The project scope is determined according to the plant’s technical requirements.
Can substations and MV/LV switchgear systems be included in the project scope?
Yes. Substations, MV/LV switchgear installations, and power distribution systems can be included in the project scope. Procurement and installation work is planned according to the plant’s electrical infrastructure.
Do you provide SCADA and DCS integration for iron and steel plants?
Yes. SCADA, DCS, and power automation systems can be integrated according to the plant’s needs. This supports the monitoring and control of processes and critical infrastructure.
Do you provide drive solutions for heavy-duty motors?
Yes. Low- and medium-voltage variable frequency drive (VFD) applications are available for controlling heavy-duty motors. The solution is selected according to the operating requirements of the motor and process.
What does your project experience in the iron and steel sector cover?
GEST’s references include the Strapping Unit Project at İSDEMİR’s Coil Rolling Mill. The project involved upgrading the CPU of the Coil Rolling Mill’s strapping unit PLC system. The software from the existing PLCs was retrieved, upgraded with the necessary additions, and transferred and adapted to the new PLCs. The existing PLC circuit diagrams were redrawn in EPLAN to reflect the updated configuration, and a network architecture was established for communication with the automation system.
